[02b] Paper Folding
[02a] The Pool of Tears
This week in our tutorial, we covered more about negation and I learned about truth tables before we covered them in class. Unfortunately, I messed up and used ⇒ instead of ∧ in my symbolic representation of whatever we had to figure out. Darn.
While the material feels like it's starting to become a bit more difficult now, I think it's at a reasonable pace and that I'll be able to stay on top of things. My only gripe this week was that we learned some negation principles during the Wednesday lecture that would've benefited me greatly and have helped me with Tuesday's tutorial's quiz. At any rate, there are still plenty more quiz marks for us to get. :D
Also, our first CSC165H test is coming up in two weeks.
Oh boy.

[01a] Down the Rabbit Hole
A cheesy pun-intended title, to-be-used cliché post titles (hint: Alice in Wonderland's chapter titles), and a dorky blogger -- that's what you'll get in this SLOG.
It's always been most difficult for me to start and end my pieces of writing, so please bear with me for now.
In order to get through my first week of slogging, I'll stick to the standard questions. Yay!
Things I've learned so far in class:
- a bunch of fancy symbols (such as ∃ and ∀)
- quantification
- claims (existential and universal)
- nomenclature
- implication
- negation and contrapositives
- vacuous truths
- equivalence
- idioms (oops. I accidentally typed "idiots".)
- a bunch of other things!
Things I've enjoyed thus far:
- everything
Challenges:
- almost everything
-- at first, the topics were difficult to me, but after reading over things again and asking a certain someone a bunch of questions to clarify, everything made sense.
Achievements:
- waking up on time to make it to every single class (wow!! I should get extra credit for this one.)
Now that I have a primary post down, I can get around to making some bonus content for the slog.
One question, though. Are we supposed to "write at least one problem-solving episode" for this slog entry, or just every entry in the future, or both?
